"HOIKU" is a word that combines the meaning of both care and education. We take care of children's safety and health first, and at the same time, focus on education that draws out and expands the EQ skills that become the foundation of children’s lifelong personalities.
When we translate this Japanese word "HOIKU” to English, there is no exact match. For example, “'nursery” and “childcare” both have a strong emphasis on care but not education, while “daycare” includes elderly.
There are many situations in the world where the meaning of the word "HOIKU" is not correctly understood. Some people have the image that “HOIKU” is simply just the care of young children.
We will use the word “HOIKU” to let everyone know that it includes the meaning of both care and education.
